Biography
Brigitte Puschmann (b. 1969, Munich, Germany) is a contemporary artist working between Germany and Austria. Her practice explores transformation, layered realities, and the dynamic interplay of color, form, and perception. Before fully dedicating herself to art, Puschmann built a career in business, where she focused extensively on processes of transformation, particularly within large organizations. This experience continues to inform her artistic research, which investigates change as a fundamental principle shaping both human perception and the structures of reality.
Alongside her professional career, she trained also in interior design at Rhodec International College (UK) and studied painting at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts Salzburg. Since 2024, she has devoted herself entirely to her artistic practice. Puschmann completed her diploma in Drawing and Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kolbermoor under Prof. Markus Lüpertz, where she continues as a master student to explore painting as a system of relations rather than representation.
Her work ranges from large-scale acrylic paintings to modular wall pieces and sculptural installations, often incorporating interactive or combinatory elements. Her works have been presented in galleries, art associations, and international art fairs, including a solo exhibition at Samuelis Baumgarte Gallery, Bielefeld, and exhibitions in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. Her work is part of the Copelouzos Family Art Museum collection in Athens. She received multiple nominations and awards.
