Markus Lüpertz (Academy of Fine Arts / Kolbermoor) calls these works the "logical consequence" of my Bubble Stripe series, which has minimalist features.
Between chance and regularity
I am fascinated by the fact that nature is never chaotic, even if it appears so: bubbles, cells, and drops follow physical laws—just like the stripes in my compositions. With a deliberately reduced color palette , I bring out this hidden kinship. Limiting myself to just a few tones gives the works depth and directs the viewer's attention to what is essential: the structure behind things.
