Abstract Painting and Spatial Installations – An Overview of My Series of Works
Abstract painting is not a style for me, but a research method: using line, surface, and color, I examine how order emerges, dissolves, and reforms.
On this page, you will find an overview of all my series of works—original acrylic pieces created in my studio. Each series follows its own question, yet all are connected by my central theme: the transformation and complexity of life. Through my spatial installations, another dimension is added that directly involves the viewer.
Six series of works – one idea
My series are conceived as open systems that are continuously evolving. They differ in their formal language and effect – from minimalist color fields to interactive spatial installations:
Wallpaper Series – flat shapes like torn wallpaper fragments that deliberately disrupt the pictorial space: to the Wallpaper Series
Infinity Series – interactive acrylic tiles that can be rearranged; each repositioning creates a new work: to the Infinity Series
Stripes series – the most consistent reduction: line, surface, rhythm
Timeless – Works exploring what makes a work timeless: the Timeless series
Bubble Stripes and NL Stripes – organic shapes and the development of the line into a surface (accessible via the menu)
Serial Painting: Why I Think in Series
A single painting can be an assertion—a series is a process of proof. In serial painting, every variation becomes a question posed to the previous one: What happens when a line widens, a color shifts, an element changes its place? This creates groups of works that explain one another and together tell a story larger than any single piece. For collectors, this has a beautiful side effect: a work from a well-thought-out series concept is always part of a larger context—an idea that I explore further under "Collecting Art with Vision."

Abstract painting thrives on materiality, format, and light – none of which a screen can fully capture.
