In fact, this work is the result of a transformation. A canvas print of an older piece of mine served as the painting surface for this new work. The resonance of the base was crucial to the composition of the piece. Additionally, the works in the NL series play with the dynamic power of the push-and-pull effect of forms and colors. The works enter into a direct dialogue, yet simultaneously leave room for the discovery of what lies beneath the visible surface.
